If you are asking trails, walking/joggibg and/or biking, you are good basically year round. There are a few spots between Hawthorne & CR 325, about 2 spots, rains accumulate Sumner time but otherwise, yeah, you are good.
Park is usually not flooded. This happens throughout the years.
Usually its not flooded..we have gotten a unusual amount of rain this past week..its really is a beautiful park..give patient towards the rain..its flooded alot of places right now..more on the way.
This area drains directly into the aquifer. As such, water level is a function of the aquifer level and local rainfall. Expect higher levels in the future, as tropical storms and sea level rise effect the system.
Paines Prarie is a wetland ecosystem so it actually is supposed to take on more of an aquatic nature. The past several years it was actually a bit too dry. Now that the water has persisted since Irma it is starting to recover some. It is a source of water for the Florida aquifer as well.
