My favorite part about visiting this Safeway is getting followed around the store because I am of mixed race, and I am no where near my school backpack, while witnessing a white grandfather placing items in his burgundy suitcase freely.

I think they may be toning that down. I wpuld say I was stalked some there too doing the google and taking pics... and yes it was mostly black people doing the stalking unfortunately. Ive seen this in a few places, but it wasnt as bad to ight as its been at other safeways... the one in Kensington , MD particularly. But Ive also seen this in Clinton, MD where most of the store workers are black. It looks like some sort of safeway uneritten rule

I'm sorry that happens to you. Most of the supervisors up front are black women so you should talk to them. And if he was shoplifting, tell someone. Some people do use suitcases to carry their stuff home, but usually after paying!
