You can purchase tour tickets for the Mark Twain House in advanced online, but if you only want to visit the Museum Center and not tour the House itself advanced ticketing isn't required and you can purchase a Museum Center Only ticket at the front desk when you arrive.
The best way to visit Mark Twain House is to go on line and purchase tickets and do the tour. It is really great!
Actually you are taking a chance right now if you wait to buy a ticket when you arrive. These people are covid nazis and strictly enforce the number of people they let in at a time. Btw, it IS a guided tour.
Online booking is cheaper. Please do that.
Advance purchase is best but they had issues yesterday. Also if time slot not allow number of guest usually means time slot selling out. We walked up expecting 11 am but had to wait till 1:40
