If you like there is a form on the DMV web page you can fill out for replacement plates it will cost you $31.50. Drop the form and a check at the plate drop off / pick up window on the first floor. Within about two weeks. You will get a notice that the new plates are ready to pick up.

Depends on how bad the damage is. You might try swapping the plates front to back and back to front, just put the sticker on the back plate
