I needed to update the address on my license so I did it online and it seems to be updated but I haven’t received a new license. Will I receive a new license in the mail? I didn’t get a email notification stating so

Perla, if you updated your license at www.dmv.ri.gov you should have seen a message stating your transaction was complete. Typically, it can take two to three weeks for your new license to arrive in the mail. So that a supervisor can review your record and transaction history, please fill out this form: http://www.dmv.ri.gov/feedback/ include your address, DOB and your driver's license number.

You will not get a new license by law you're supposed to put a piece of paper on the back of the license at the bottom a typewritten piece of paper with your new address and Scotch tape it on that way anytime that they're checking your identification it will be to the address on the back
