Sandra, license renewals are done online or by mail, in most cases. The exception being that is time for a new photograph to go on your license. If it's time for a new photo (typically, every 10 years), you do need to make an appointment with us. You do that online at www.dmv.ri.gov Look for the blue reservation boxes on the home page. Once you click on the box, just follow the prompts to find a day/time that's convenient for you.
