You can ask a person to get your birth certificate in a Renap in Guatemala, and send it to you by Scanned Email. You print it and take it to the consulate, they verify that it is Valid and they do the paperwork you need.
Lok always asks you for the Renap certificate, so I renewed my passport, the other one I had 5 months to go before they were delivered and they measured the new one.
