You can just walk in during open hours to get a big load of produce, but you have to make an appt by phone about a week in advance to get packaged food. The first time you must call Helping Hands. You will be on hold an hour or more. After you register by phone with Helping Hands during that first phone call, you can text for an appt in future. The produce is wonderful. The packaged is not as good. They give very little meat. Instead horrible unhealthy cans of greasy pretend stew and sugary pretend pasta.
U contact 211 for pantry service. Or look up helping hands web site. U give them your address, name etc they will schedule you for an appointment.
