If prima care doctor orders a covid test, you should be able access the patient portal from your comouter. I need a covid test to have a procedure with another out of Fall River and I went on Monday morning, my doctor's office called and stated it was neagtive and the next day I printed the results. If you are traveling, you will need those test results.
Are you able to access the patient portal by any chance? There's a patient portal online where you can access test results. Do you need proof of test results for your trip?
