My PCP herself was good, I liked her and we seemed to have a connection. This review is not of my PCP. Leaving a review of the practice and PrimaCare aside... the way they handled things a year and a half or so out of the 'pandemic' was horrible. I suffer from migraines and am on medication to prevent, for almost 20 years. That being said, I phoned my PCP's office for an appointment as I was having headaches daily for weeks. I was told because headaches were a 'symptom of COVID' they would not see me in the office nor offer me a tele-visit. I let them know that if they look at my charts I have been suffering cluster headaches as well as migraines for half my life. I had NO OTHER symptoms of COVID, none. Still nothing and no help or even a future appointment made for me to come in and be seen. I have had some rude interactions with the office folks but was surprised as this particular admin was always stellar to me. That was the end. Thank God I moved out of Mass. especially that area.

The whole physical therapy team is great. They take the time to listen to you, and help you understand what exercises and stretches will best help you to with your recovery.

Patient portal
I believe it depends if you have insurance & what kind. There shouldn't be a charge up front if you didn't make a appointment. They bill your insurance if you "walk in" or call in advance. I myself have Mass health & I don't pay anything, ever. It could be different for you in this case. Do you have another insurance? Or Mass health? I've been to the Emergency PC downstairs a few months back & I just showed up, I didn't pay a thing out of pocket. It wasn't a physical but it was still without a appt. I hope this helps.

If prima care doctor orders a covid test, you should be able access the patient portal from your comouter. I need a covid test to have a procedure with another out of Fall River and I went on Monday morning, my doctor's office called and stated it was neagtive and the next day I printed the results. If you are traveling, you will need those test results.

Everything should be private to do with your personal life and any physician of therapy occupational therapy it's your business that's going on not someone else's I myself likes the walk-in to do with Primacare in Somerset they should have more Primacare stuff at that building in Somerset
