The water is very clear Spring water. Its the same water that ends in bottled water throughout the state of Florida. It's the great outdoors so the potential of bacteria is always a yes but probably not a high risk of getting anyone sick.

Teresa Haviland | Sep 19, 2018

It's possible as in any water source that's not a pool.

Carl Allen | Sep 19, 2018

We swim in it regularly and havent heard of or had any issues. Since its spring fed maybe the cooler water temp helps prevent bacteria.
