Yes dogs are allowed outside of the Salty Crab and actually most bars and restaurants on FMB are pet friendly.

If you bring a pet, however, you might be the only one. I've never seen a pet in any restaurant, including this one, on Fort Myers Beach. Perhaps there is a distinction between service animal and pet? When calling, maybe they were thinking of service dog for the blind, etc. Anyway, have a great meal, they have good food!!
