I personally have not seen any, but I never went to the lake either. I was stationed 1 LANE OVER from the "Lake lane" lot 219 closer to I 295. I stayed there as a resident from November 2021 thru May 1st 2022 ... No news of alligator attacks or sightings LOL ... Due to a "new" Florida thing of ridiculous rate hikes in housing or Rv living AND Flamingo Lake being sold, I encountered a lot increase from $ 900 to $1200.00 plus $65 for electric. I believe the " lake lane" went up to $1,600.00 a month, I decided to go to another Rv a park over an hr away that does have alligators lol ... On my last day there, I saw 2 kids on those bikes with big wheels and have never seen any aligators walk out of the lake and go past me in any way, shape or matter unless it was one of those Green alligator Inflatables ...
I swam and kayaked in the lake on saturday. I did not see any gators.
In the 6 years we've lived there only 2 baby gators have found their way to the lake. Both times the word has gone out to stay out of the lake until Animal Control got them out and verified there were no nests. Only a couple of days, and the lake was back open.
I have been on the Lake for 4 years and have not seen any but you're right any body of water in Florida can have them but in the time I've lived in the Lake none
I've been here more a year and am always around the lake. Since you don't want me to say none. Then they are microscopic and they can't eat people. People go swimming everyday except for the winter months and No one has seen any and neither have I.
I also wondered about alligators in their lake, but I saw none during my visit. Fish and turtles came to the restaurant porch for handouts, and that was awesome! I wouldn’t be overly concerned, after all I’ve swam in the ocean many times knowing full well that there were sharks, barracudas and other dangerous fish in there! Not making light of your concern, but I believe you would be ok to swim in the areas marked for that.
