I can't say enough good things about the Jacksonville Public Library including this smaller branch, the Bradham and Brooks on Edgewood Ave. West. It's clear that this library offers the full suite of services from new releases to computer services, tax preparation, magazines and even more. I've been to other Libraries, particularly in southern Georgia and they simply do not offer the services and the book depth that are available in Jacksonville. 📕. This branch which seems to be relatively newly remodeled is on a single floor and has an airport or bus station terminal feel to it. Perhaps it's the high ceilings. Parking is average, traffic is very heavy on Edgewood Avenue and their single lot on the east end of the building is both small, angled which with cars coming and going can be a navigational challenge.⛵ I'm giving this review four stars because of two names: Olga L. Bradham and Etta L. Brooks. There can be no doubt that these two individuals made a contribution to this library and worthy of it being named. But as a patron I don't get a sense of who they are? There are a number of things that could have been done too. Actually, the best commeration I've seen is inside Walmart Distribution Centers with well designed murals depicting Helen Walton and her genuine efforts to promote literacy and learning.
