Most pain management doctors give atleast one chance before discharging them. I suffer from end-stage non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis, painful neuropathy, chronic pelvic pain which has been going on for over 20 years. We are more humane to animal.

Any doctor, especially in this current political and social climate - more than likely - will immediately discharge you if you test positive for any illicit substances (prescription - ie. not yours, or otherwise) as it violates the contract that waives the physician's liability in the event you use a medication in a harmful manner. If you violate that agreement, he will most definitely discharge you. He is a good doctor and a good dude in general, he may offer the oppurtunity considering your condition, but physicians invest so much into their licenses, so i wouldn't bet on it. He will not stand for positive drug screens and medical cannabis will not be allowed in conjunction with any treatment that involves a federally scheduled, controlled substance. It's one or the other. If you're concerned that there isn't enough evidence (MRI, X-ray, etc.) to warrant treatment, than you have expectations. He will treat based on patient history and test results, not on your word. Consult GP.
