Total incompetent... Was told on phone first time that they would take my blue cross blue shield plan. 3 weeks later call me and tell me that they would not take my plan. Besides that I had them 2 times call m me prior to ask my insurance plan. Also they switched my appointment without my concent. I'm so glad I told them to just take me out of there books after they said they would not take my blue cross blue shield plan. Never have I heard of that BS.

OVERCHARGED 7 TIMES! I have been a patient of doc. Gorman for several years. His office staff is one of the worst doctors staffs that I have ever encountered. I review my insurance paperwork after doctors visits to see if I am charged the correct amount. When the insurance and doctors office has a negotiated rate, you are not to pay more than that rate. Most people do not know this. I was continually charged $120 per visit. The contracted rate was between$35 and $65. This depended on the time that I spent with the doctor. The billing department has never cought this overpayment. When I contacted the billing department which was very difficult and took over an hour, they said they would look into it. After 3 wks I contacted them again and the supervisor said he again would look into it. My last appointment they tried to charge me $120 again. After insisting that I do not owe that, the secretary"Tiffany with an extremely poor attitude" said she spoke to billing and my copay is only $40. One week before my appointments I called Gorman's office again . When you call their office you will get an answering service. He asked what my call was in reference for, I said I had a billing issue and want to speak with the office manager. They tried to transfer me but said no one is picking up. the phone. I'm at work and have only 15 min for my break to speak with someone. I insisted he tries again. The person comes back in the phone and tells me "they said you need to call billing". I told him that they don't even know what my question is and I want to speak with the office manager. Again the office manager would not speak with me. I told him that I want to be transferred to cancel my appointment. He tried again and said the phone just rings and no one is picking up the line. They over charged me 7 TIMES in a row and now they say the last time when I paid $40, the undercharged me and I owe $50. There is no way that I am the only one they are doing this too. I explained what has happen in my last appt with doc. Gorman, Doc. Gorman does not know what gos on with his billing department. But it's his name on the door and maybe he will finally do something about this. . Next stop, the BBB 6/6/22 update The BBB sent several inquiries to Gorman's office concerning my over billing. Dr. Gorman's office never replied to any of them. I have also called billing many more times. I originally spoke with a supervisor and he told me he would look into my account and call me back. He never called. A month later I talked with another billing supervisor "Maria". She told me she would look into my account and call me back. She never called. I got ahold of her again 1 month later. She never looked into my account and told me again that she would look into my account and call me. NO CALL. I called and left her messages, and still no returned phone call. This company "Physician Partners if America" is corrupt. The owner has been investigated by the Department of Justice for excepting funds during covid from the government for treatments that they were not doing, like drive up testing. He was banned for several years prior to Covid from opening any medical treatment practice. That ban is over and now he has several offices. Check your insurance if you pay copays. My fight still goes on trying to get my $270 back. I have now hired an attorney.

Dr. Gorman does accept insurance. Medicare I know for sure. Not sure about Medicaid. My mother recently started seeing him. He listens and is understanding. He seems to want the best treatment for his patients. His nurse practitioner and staff are helpful and courteous .

I would be shocked if they didn't. They take the big and the small Insurance companies... @Bettylou Workman, I sincerely hope that you have successfully found a new, more compassionate Pain Management Doctor. I too was dismissed from the practice with no notice, no letter, nothing. I hope that you are successful working with the DEA. They cannot legally 'dismiss' a patient without 30 days supply of medication, a copy of the medical records, and a referral to another doctor... I wish you well...!

What Medicaid HMO's do yall take ?

Ann Sherwood | Sep 19, 2019
adam bodon | Sep 19, 2019

It's best to just call, they do take medicaid and medicare HMOs, but more than likely they'll take care of you or at least recommend an organization that does. So many post questions to google pages. c'mon folks, just call. Calling and asking isn't going to interfere with your current or future care, you will only have issues if you DO something that is clearly contrary to the rules. As long as you're not doctor shopping or trying to get multiple prescriptions from different doctors for the same or similar medications, then you should have nothing to lose by making an appointment. If they take your insurance, give you an appointment, you're golden as long as you don't test positive for illicit or unprescribed substances, have a valid need for care, and don't have a current prescription of a controlled substance prescribed for a period of time of which they are gone before that period is over. If there's nothing to hide, than don't worry folks.
