Wondering why anyone would want to wait 1 year to seal their new grout? Builders warning folks that sealing new grout voids their warranty. Interesting that anyone would wait a year for grout to be soiled before sealing it!

Are you sure they said that about the grout? I have been advised to wait for 1 year before sealing my pavers as due to settling that may occur, some may have to be replaced during that time. If sealed prior, any new pavers will look very different than the sealed ones. I have not heard anything about warranty issues with sealing grout or granite countertops and plan to do that as soon as I close
