Hunting is allowed in season. Target shooting is not. I have seen turkeys, quail, dove and deer. Remember this area is very dry during the summer and fall. Game will be dependent on available water. Populations dropped during the drought.
There is a place to shot but you have to be a member of the club. They will know if you are out there.
They do have designated shooting areas there and a map to see whats allowed where. Hope that helps
