I just got a call from someone who is temporarily homeless and has no food or money. She won't go to the police station. It's a complicated story. Is there anyone after hours when someone during the night needs help or outreach. Thanks

The shelters the Night Ministry have are for teens and young adults. But, if you or she call the main number another number is given for people to call who are in need of housing. Call that number. It's supposed to be staffed around the clock. They should be able to provide resources if your friend is not a teen or young adult.

You can try Deborahs Place or Sarahs Circle - they may or not be taking calls at this hour. If this person is escaping violence then there is the domestic violence hotline, which should have more resources. If this person is under 25 you can also call The Crib (a The Night Ministry shelter), Catholic Charities, or La Casa Norte to see if beds are available for the night.
