We didn't have reservations but it's probably not a bad idea.
If you show up right around 5 or 6, you should get seated right away. I've never had to wait and the restaurant is large enough to seat tons of people.
They are not needed, but they are helpful.
Not needed most of the time, but suggested on busy/holiday weekends...also needed for parties of 6 or more anytime.
