I traded my exact model a month or so ago and they gave cash. I believe you have to have a wireless controller as they send it back to their refurbishers and resell it with the wireless controller. The worst that would happen is that they would take the wired controller separately to offset the cost of a wireless controller that would need to be with the system. The difference from the wired and wireless controller would then be taken from the cash you would get back and you would get what's left over. I hope that makes sense. You will need your driver's license/permit (Not expired) to do any kind of trade btw.
