According to all news article and websites its first year up was 2013. The owner was inspired by trees he saw in Columbus on a trip. A facebook page was created in 2014 and the first news article was written by KMBC in Nov. 2014.
I lived here since 2011. Been taking grandkids every year Been since then. I heard that might of been 1st year as well
