My mother died in 2007 a the age of 69. My father was 70 after 49 years of being married.
Mom was collecting her social security at the time.
Dad is still alive and collects his social security
Is he eligible for my mothers also.

No. When my grandpa died, my grandma lost that income from his SS which made money tight for her, however she does still receive his military pension.
