Played here for the first time and loved it, its definitely in my rotation of courses around the KC metro.

Beautiful greens, wide variety of difficulty in the courses, friendly staff. Winterstone is a wonderful course.

Course is a must play. Great shape. Greens were a little on the slow side. Need to be pretty accurate on the front nine. Back side a little more forgiving.

Lady Dutchess

The Marshal was rude, demeaning and unnecessarily aggressive. When riding in our cart towards the final hole, the Marshal stopped us and asked why we were driving in such a manner. We were confused and he rudely explained we were too close to the rough. Apologies were made and we attempted to ask for clarification on the appropriate distance from the rough but the Marshal seemed hell bent on having an unpleasant interaction by cutting us off with phrases like "ABSOLUTELY FREAKING NOT!!!" The Marshal followed us to our final hole, stood by us and talked trash to us the ENTIRE hole. We explained he had done his job and should be able to leave us alone at this point. When returning to the office there was young staff member, maybe 16 years old who was apologetic and explained there was a rowdy group on the course before us. He had a great attitude about the situation. The manager however was a jerk and explained it away as "We have to protect our course." This is a subpar course that you pay $80 for and you can hardly use your cart. To top it off, prepare to be harassed by the Marshal for getting to close to the green, not ON the green, just too close by his undefined standards.
