If your stepson writes or calls his attorney to let her know it is okay to speak to you about case details, they can. Court date information is available from the clerk of court by calling them, and the clerk can also give you information on the current bond amount. You are always able to call the PD office but the information given will be limited to what is public record until they have your stepson's authorization to the attorney.

He has to sign a written consent form for the PD to give you any information. Most information is public reguarding the charges and case.
