Hi, Melissa. A beach surf wheelchair is available at Phil Foster Park. Please contact a lifeguard at the location to arrange for use. You can find all Palm Beach County Beach Parks that offer a beach surf Wheelchair at https://discover.pbcgov.org/parks/Aquatics/Beaches.aspx. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation.
If you get the proper parking space, you can be so close to the water. You definitely won't be able to wheel a wheelchair on the sand, but have two guys pick the person up and walk them to the water it's like 20 ft if you park in the right spot. Now you could push the wheelchair on the bridge across from the opening of the park, and then toss them in the water? I'm not even joking kids jump off it all day long and there's a sidewalk right there Just don't know if you want to be seen throwing a wheelchair person over a bridge, without motorists knowing the context
The sand is pretty mushy for a wheel chair. Not packed, maybe with help, but if you can get them under the bridge just past the parking they could watch all the boats and paddle boarders go by.
