Great beach snorkeling spot on an incoming tide or Dead high tide. Also a boat ramp so parking can get busy on the weekends. But a great location!

I love going to the public beach at Phil Forster Park. Been going there since 2019. It is great for non-swimmers, toddlers and small children, and snorkeling. Also, they have a wheelchair accessible beach ramp and a brand new water wheelchair!! Just ask the lifeguard on duty and they will hand it out on a first-come-first serve basis. Since a strip of the beach is under the bridge, there's shade. And there's a small playground for little ones. In the mornings during the week you will have the beach almost to yourself!

Great scuba diving. Arrive early to find parking

Force E SCUBA - South side of Blue Heron Blvd, between US Hwy 1 and the bridge over the Intracoastal. Have fun!
Snorkel trail is great for all abalities. 6-15 feet plenty to see. Make sure to check tide chart as high tide will give you the best visibility. Happy diving!
Only for gazebo rentals not just the general tables. But double check.👍🏿
There are signs posted for trucks with trailers stating 24 hours maximum. I would highly suggest contacting the local park rangers or local government. Have a beautiful day!
Just came back from there and I see people fishing and also jumping into the water. Every time we've driven by someone was fishing so I'm sure it's pretty good. Plus the local restaurant has on item on the menu that's named after the snapper caught around that area, so yes, I would assume the fishing is good, however idk from personal experience.
Hi, Aline. Phil Foster beach and playground is open from sunrise to sunset. Fishing pier is open from sunrise to 10pm. Boat ramp and tow vehicle parking access is 24 hours. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department.
You'll find barracuda, sergeant major, parrot fish, small grouper, eagle rays, southern stingray, yellowtail, angel fish, grunts, all your usual south Florida reef fish. Check the rules, though. FWC regulations regarding Phil Foster Park have changed recently.
There are no vending machines or refreshments there . There is a water fountain and bathrooms and that's about it!! I recommend if you go , you bring a lot of water . There is a lot of shade there , but, there's no snack bar or restaurant. The West side of Blue Heron Bridge is home to a wonderful Publix Supermarket.
Hi, Sagotsky. There is no food or rental concession located at Phil Foster Park. Please feel free to support local water rental businesses in the area. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation.
Free, but don't try to show up right alt high tide. It gets full about an hour before high tide.
I do not know about grills but I do know however that the parking lot can become very crowded so be ready to fight the crowd getting into a parking spot
Enter at the beach on the north side of the bridge. There is a great snorkel trail. Blue Heron Scuba shop in the park can help and may have a map of the trail.
You have to have your own gear.
Hi, Melissa. A beach surf wheelchair is available at Phil Foster Park. Please contact a lifeguard at the location to arrange for use. You can find all Palm Beach County Beach Parks that offer a beach surf Wheelchair at https://discover.pbcgov.org/parks/Aquatics/Beaches.aspx. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation.
Dive flag is needed for scuba diving because you are totally submerged & not visible to boaters in nearby boating lanes. Snorkelers are more visible because they are not always totally submerged, as such a flag is not required
There are Great Whites everywhere and they attack daily at 2:32pm only.
Hi, Pedro. Picnic areas, picnic shelters, and parking are available from sunrise until sunset on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are done at Phil Foster Park. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation.
No, fishing is allowed in some places but otherwise it's a sanctuary for sea life. Take pictures but please dont touch.
Yes
I don't know the rules regarding RV's but there is very limited parking at Phil Foster. It is a small island.
ONE IS AFTER YOU ENTER THE PARK ON THE LEFT. ITS JUST A LAKE SO YOU CAN PUT A KAYAK IN MOST ANYWHERE WITHOUT NEEDING A DOCK
The beach is just below the bridge so usually you can find protection from the sun. It is in the southern side of the park. Snorkeling area extends till the buoys that signal the beginning of the anchoring zone.
“Hi Nichole, As of Thursday, October 4, all Palm Beach County managed beaches are closed until further notice. Yes, permit is required and available at automated machine near ramps.
I usually go there for lunch. They're never friendly to me but I don't expect it to be around the boat riders, but it's nice for snorkeling and taking the family. It's usually over crowded but it's nice place, nice atmosphere.
Just a reminder to anybody that goes to Phil Foster that the water is brackish so it is not exactly fresh not exactly salty and as far as the algae well we all know that that's still a problem in the state. I wasn't aware of jellyfish there I can't imagine that they would be at Phil Foster because that is inside the inlet not on the ocean but however you can go over to Peanut Island from Phil Foster I believe. Still a cute little Park to go to and if you get hot you can shelter under the bridge to Singer Island.
Yes they are.
My recommendation: first go and find the diveshop at the park , they have a map about the area and they can give you more infos, where to go, what to see, dos and donts.
Google a tide chart for that area. It's different everyday.
Not there, but John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is perfect or Peanut Island.
Phil Foster Park was named after one of Riviera Beach's pioneer citizens.
