They want to make sure you can fill a semi truck and have the charge go through

All pay at the pump put a dollar amount hold on your card. Why the amount is so excessive I don't know. It is best to go inside and pay to avoid this type of problem.

That's what most gas stations do when you pay at the pump...i suggest you prepay inside before you get gas into your vehicle next time
