There is a simulator upstairs that takes you through all of the steps, with several screens that surrounds and you can sit on the seat and see what the inside would be like. It is my son's favorite part.oh, and usually the museum is only open Thursday thru Saturday from 10 am to 4pm unless of special events

No engine but a great simulator
As stated no engine, that's the one thing we were disappointed about was not getting to see an old steam engine.
