The addition of jute fabric to manage would be a quick fix til the seed takes, plus a great cover for the seed too

Good morning, There are several options that might meet your needs. I would be happy to discuss options if you would like more information -- please feel free to call. Our Little 3 is a good choice for a California native that will do well in a shady location. It can be a little slow to get going, which makes taking other erosion control measures something to consider. Our Pathway Blend or Fine Fescue blends are good low growing, shade tolerant non-native options. In either case 1 - 1 1/2 lbs per 1,000 square feet is a good application rate. Have a good day, Kelly
