The reality is, this is a Church/Homeless Shelter that: *Holds you hostage for a year *Cuts you off from family and friends *Reads your mail *If you get an SSI check, they take it *If you get food stamps, they take it *WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO WORK FOR ANYONE but the New Orleans Mission And the sad thing is, everyone there is being convinced it's a good thing, and once they get in, they'll be brainwashed to talk about nothing but "JESUS and GOD" It fits the legal definition of a CULT!!!!!
I saw pictures online and it looked kinda gross and unkempt. If people are donating then why aren't they renovating the building. The bathrooms looked awful
I was there for 7 months and at no time did I feel like it was a jail. The gates are open and I could leave if I wanted. It's easy to see negatively when I am negative. I had an awesome experience there and would recommend it to anyone who wants or need help. Just can't forget that you cannot tell help how to help you.
Lol... And reviews come in all colors and shades, 1 night at this place was plenty enough for me... I even broke parole to leave... Quite frankly Jesus has done fine for 2000+ years on his own, He doesn't need you cramming him down my throat for a place to sleep for the night... Catch me under the calliope bridge any night before you ever catch me here again
