shelter for abused/trafficked/runaway young adults, a little strict but their rules help to establish savings and a daily routine. a ‘doctor’s office’ provided by a nearby university, hot showers, a bunk bed in a room you typically share with others, food, friends, a donation closet, a program for babies and kids, some intolerable staff, some decent and kind ones as well, a dorm-like program for those who have savings and are compliant, quiet, and mind their own business. from what i heard from a friend after my stay, but did not experience, once you land in said program and are ready to get out, they will help you look for an apartment, furnish it, and pay your rent for a year or so, when you are discharged you allegedly receive the 80% of your checks you’ve been forcibly saving, (which i did) i did not hear of or witness any child exploitation during my stay, i co-signed a duplex lease myself and was in and out in under 5 months. you can play the “system” and get free time outside, use/keep more money that you’ve made (than they’d like you to) they have decent resources for employment and health opportunities and all in all it was better than sleeping behind the mall or hiding from the cops and attempting to sleep on park benches during the winter. a girl that slept in the bunk under me did steal my slides, don’t leave anything you deem valuable “out” take them with you wherever you go, the staff 9 times out of 10 will not care to look into it too far and the cameras do not see what happens in bedrooms. and you frequently get free joes if you’re into that and are in ‘good behavior’

They had a history of exploiting youth before getting discharged. I should’ve trusted the reviews.

Yes I can, I could help according to pricing at motel 6.
I think all you have to do is show up over there.
If you are 16-22 yes they had a young man there with an infant they can't refuse you shelter i wish you the best of luck
I'd go asap if I were you to talk to them and explain your situation because the program has a cutoff age of 21 but theres people that they help up to about 23 if you get in there sooner than later. Now I'd also say be prepared for them to want you to stay immediately if there's room for you (a mommy room since you have a child). Its 3 steps you go thru . first is crisis and this is the hardest part ! but since you will be getting a job soon you can progress to the next part fairly soon, like a month or so. The second part is ROP program nd the is the part where you get you freedom back for the most part . you will have to save save save . this is the part where they are trying to get you to the third step and you will have to pay rent while youre in ROP btw. But once you get to the 3rd step Rapid Rehousing (just as the name suggests) they will try to get you into a home as soon as they can. this is done with you own money tho so your whole stay at covenant house is determined by you
Not sure, but most of the homeless hangs around so if they don't accept it I'm pretty sure someone will appreciate it
I think I can help just you and your husband not any other adults then okay..
I would tread softly on that subject. Your putting emphasis on paying yourself and accepting donations when I'm pretty sure everything associated with that project is a non profit organization
Up to 4 occupants per room in most cases and is still the most privacy in a New Orleans shelter you're going to find.. don't forget, you are ultimately responsible for your own belongings, so even when going to use the bathroom it is safest to lock up your important things or take them with you, especially money and phones. Read what you sign and keep copies as well.. the only person who is going to keep your best interest and safety in mind is you.. work that program! And get into R.O.P. asap for best results.. Covenant House has the best program because it is dedicated to youth and their lifelong success, so use it wisely.. you don't want to have to go to ANY other shelter out here, packed with neglect and violence and crackheads 🙃
No u dont but the age limit is 23 and they will help him get all of that

You can in there and let them know that you are homeless and you would be on the floor till you find a job and let them know that you are looking for housing ....ask for mr.t
Covenant House is a youth shelter and housing program for people under the age of 22 only. If there is declared a state of emergency, they will allow a very small number of older adults for emergency shelter. If you are hungry, they have been known to give a sack lunch or at least a sandwich to anyone who asks, and sometimes clothes depending on the severity of the need.
They will give you both shelter and you get 3 meals a day.
