How is the area for crime? Is it safe to walk to the Coronado Centre at night? I am thinking of walking to the Coronado Centre to take the Park and Ride for the Balloon Fiesta in the early morning and around 9:00 at night.

We've had no problems when we stayed there. We walked around quite a bit at night. Always felt safe.

Much safer than other areas of Albuquerque I have stayed in. We had no worries walking to bars and restaurants at night.

That area has security guards going around throughout the evening. It would be safe if you walked over at night.

I've walked around after dark several times with no issues or even feeling uncomfortable. However, only do what you comfortable with.

I think the reputation and the area's image are worse than the actual crime levels. I was there and walked everywhere around night time. Just stay attuned to your surroundings.

All of Albuquerque can be unpredictable with crime. Day or night. A cab or uber would be your best bet. Although I'm not sure why you go anywhere at night depending how late it is most things close by 9pm

I would go with Brett's suggestion as well, better safe than sorry

Hard to say. I'd recommend a cab. It would be a super cheap ride. Better safe.
