If you are, best to get permission from the manager. Have not heard about it being illegal in CA, but best check that out too.
The city owns the parking lot, not walmart. As long as your not sketchy, you'll be fine.

Unfortunately in the state of CA it is illegal to park overnight in any retail establishment parking lot.
You can, but it's a bit risky
Its 24 hr so may be you can park but chekc before parking, but i would suggest local road side parking will be better
