I've been waiting over 90 minutes for a delivery with no more than a text saying there was a delay. I need to leave my house. At what point to you recommend customers cancel their extremely delayed orders to get on with their lives????

Your life is far more important than a delivery. Do what is best for you.

Anytime they are delayed, if your not there they will attempt another time/day. If it's undeliverable you won't be charged. If I were you I'd use Amazon though, much more user friendly and if you have a return they usually give you a credit and you don't have to return the item.
