Yes they do. They are sanitized and wrapped in heavy plastic. If the store you go to does not have any, they will let you know which store does. Ive bought two mattresses and have been happy with them.
You can take your items to the Hospice donation center on N. Church Street in Burlington. They accept all those items except used mattresses. Unlike Goodwill, most of the donated items and monies from them go to the community not the CEO.
Before I left north Carolina and moved to Florida; they were only accepting clothes and furniture. No household, Christmas, art, are anything that could be sold at a yard sale. They also were not accepting toys. Didn't matter if the items were new or not. Too bad, over $1000 worth of new items went to goodwill. As far as mattresses, it depends on the state. Thrift stores in Florida sell them.
