He may be bipolar. If he hasn't actually assaulted somebody, they may not can do anything. When he's calm, get him to do a walk in at a mental health place. Check if he has medical insurance at that place before he goes there. If he goes to the ER, they may bill him. Don't say things that trigger episodes. You may have to go to a court for a commit order. If you can, MOVE before he hurts you!
