You should go to the vet after buying any animal to make sure it's healthy and not sick in any way. Mites are nearly unavoidable and you should buy spray for them anyway to keep them out of your snake's enclosure. Out of all the times I have bought snakes from Snakes at Sunset they all arrived healthy. The only bad thing about it was I once recieved the wrong snake and was never compensated. You should call in before placing an order or just go there if it's in your area.

I also was sent the wrong snake. One cheaper than i paid for. I ended up keeping it even though it wasn't what i wanted. I was afraid they would say it died in transit and I would be out of luck. The owner replied to me and said it was like receiving the wrong toilet paper. Don't shop there.

I got a male baby ball python from them about 6 months ago and he's absolutely thriving. He's healthy, eating like a champ, sheds are perfect and he's a sweetie, but I definitely agree with Kayla....a mite spray is great to have and it's always good to take them to the vet, just in case.
