Yes, people swim, snorkel and scuba dive. Great place to visit.
Yes is down the road is the rainbow springs so pretty just pay $2.00 dollar and enjoy the beautifull place to enjoy mother nature.
Yes there is a swimming area and you can also float down the river from that point. It takes a minimum of 5 hours to get to your exit. I do not recommend doing that because I got extremely sunburned even though I did use 50 block sun lotion.
