Why doesn't Ocala,fl extend their Airport to accommodate large aircraft. I believe it would be a tremendous achievement for the community and for North Central Florida.

They do, large aircraft fly in and out on a regular basis now. In fact Airforce 1 has landed there right now.

So many people drive to orlando or tampa all the time from the villages

It will be some time before that happens. There is still not enough to offer in the area for that kind of money to be spent on the ocala airport
