UPDATE: You & Ms. Stephanie are indeed the supportive couple I mentioned in my expanded review below 😎, the only ones who showed me Christ's love during that difficult time; thus, you are that one person from whom I'd believe the kind words. 😊 READERS TAKE NOTE: PASTOR KENNY RODRIGUE IS *NOT* THE PASTOR FROM MY EXPERIENCE BELOW. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to experience church life under his leadership, but HE IS A GREAT LEADER! -ML I must have left my initial 5-star review in 2014 (when I began accompanying my family here) or early 2015. I didn't think to do it at the time bc my life was falling apart, but I should have updated this review toward the end of 2015. As I said, my life was in pieces, and after months of attendance/participation & being actively encouraged by the Pastor (at the time) to feel like this was my church family, only one (ONE) middle-aged couple cared enough to provide emotional & spiritual support. The Pastor, who was aware of the family situation at the time? Not even a text message, nothing. And (despite not having heard from them either), I think it's notable that several of the families I grew up with at our prior church have since left Woodside. Furthermore, my sister who was still attending after the pandemic began (I had left the area by then) let me know how careless & ignorant the leadership of this church was about taking the recommended health precautions (NO masks, NO social distancing) -- it didn't even matter to them that over 70% of the congregation were above 65 years old, or that a good number of under-65yr-old congregants had chronic health conditions! My mom is one of the latter, & she was eventually harassed by various members (including the Pastor at the time) about how her attending church online wasn't truly Christian. Excuse me, what?! To be fair, keep in mind that I don't have any input on this church as of late 2020, only that the aforementioned Pastor "retired" at some point between then and now. Still, I'm not sure who at the church just replied here to my initial 5 star review from SEVEN years ago that they miss me (there is only ONE person who has the right to claim that, as the other has sadly since passed, & they know who they are), but considering how I was dropped like a hot potato back in 2015 (over something not criminally related at all, mind).... I just hope the Lord brings or has since brought a true revival to this congregation.
