Going in is mostly down hill, park closed at dark, so give yourself a good hr or so to get back to parking lot. It's mostly up hill and I would take a flashlight if venturing in before sunset.
The loop is only about a mile but you'll need plenty of time for stopping along the way. 1 1/2 hours would give you plenty of time.
