A bird just flew into my window, is on the ground breathing heavily, eyes open, not trying to get away from me. Mate (?) Is with, perhaps also injured......what can I do to help them?

They did call me back. I tried to get him and he kept hopping away. Eventually he did a one wing flight to a lower branch on the tree which means he should be safe from the fox tonight...... I'll look for him again tomorrow.

I hope you were able to reach them. If not maybe you could put him in a box with bedding and try feeding him, and making water available till morning. Then bring the bird to NEWC.

It's probably stunned. All you can do is hope it didnt break its neck and maybe it will fly away.
