As I approach the ground I was already happy I was there. Very peaceful beautiful place even with the ski jump in the distance. The grounds are beautiful as the surroundings. The history of the house and farm makes you wonder what it was like to live there so many years ago. What is very pleasing about this site is that the farm grounds are still being used by the college as John Brown Houston for. I would have paid to be there but it is a free tour.

Amazingly, there is no fee, despite an expert being there to show us through the buildings and answer our questions. However, voluntary donations are certainly welcome, although I don't even think they were solicited. So close to Lake Placid and such an educational and rewarding visit
