Merrill L. Thomas Lake Placid Vacation Rentals

My family and another stayed at a rental through Merrill Thomas. The rental process was easy, the location of the property was close to Whiteface, and there was more than enough room for 2 families. HOWEVER, the experience with the rental property at Owaissa Club was less than stellar. Upon arrival we found the place infested with ladybugs, cluster flies, and other bugs I couldn't even name. It was also clear that the place hadn't been cleaned very well. There were dead flies on every windowsill. I called to complain after the second day and Merrill Thomas sent an exterminator to put out fly traps. They literally hung traps from the curtains in the bedrooms! Talk about disgusting. When we arrived home the at the end of 5 days we found ladybugs crawling around in our dirty laundry! Renter beware.

Jen Ledger is the best and made our home purchase journey as easy and enjoyable as possible--always going the extra measure to check in and answer endless questions and provide helpful information about the area and the home. Feel very lucky to have landed in her capable hands and in our new home. Couldn't have done it without her.

I have dealt with two of the agents, Nick and John. These guys went above and beyond to find us our dream house. Even took us on a boat ride so we could tour the lake where the home was located. Total five star service. Can’t say enough good things about Merrill Thomas reality.

We don't actually have a *stay* to review, but this is a review of Merril Thomas Reality. We were planning a trip to Lake Placid when COVID-19 hit. Our rental agent, Jillian, was patient, kind and kept us up to date about the changing situation. The agency was very flexible and understanding about the fluid nature of this pandemic and bent over backwards to ensure that we were informed and gave us several options when circumstances changed. We will most certainly look to use Merril Thomas in the future when we are once again able to visit Lake Placid.
