The Lake Placid Lodge is a dream! Fantastic service and even better views. The personal car service, champagne upon arrival, beautiful cabin, and great food are not to be missed. A stunning and serene place to enjoy the Adirondacks for a few days.

Lake Placid Lodge is a lovely place. Four star rating is based on expectations of five star service, which is a miss. The lodge is clearly understaffed - The team that are here are great, and are hustling to make sure guests have a great experience, and it doesn’t look sustainable: Breakfast service is *really* slow despite some really well meaning staff. There’s also a weird nickel and diming going on; we had booked a rate “including breakfast” but arrived to be told that meant $25/person - which doesn’t buy you breakfast at Lake Placid Lodge. It wasn’t a big deal, but for the rate charged it was kind of annoying. At dinner the pub bartender was also our waiter for the “fine dining” at Artisans. We arrived several times to find the bar unstaffed (although someone always showed up eventually). We had to call twice to get our laundry collected. Past reviews mention staff on call to light your fire - from “ our experience, that’s not currently on the cards. We would (and will) absolutely stay here again. I’d just encourage management not to think that the current situation is an acceptable new normal for a five star hotel.

Loved the lodge and our cabin on the lake. All was top notch. Our dinner was fantastic the first night, but gave only 4 stars because the lunch and dinner the second night were both burnt. We did stay mid-week, so maybe the head chef was not working?
