How is it that the doctors at the hospital can ignore HIPPA rules and talk to anyone in a room without consulting those in charge of care. In fact, not discussing the care with the person responsible for choices and financial responsibility.

As it is her husband it does apply in this situation. I do know and understand HIPPA.

That should have been cleared before any questions were asked. Sometimes the person responsible for financial is NOT the patient where HIPPA would apply
