In Fl they are bad when its hot. In fall and winter not bad.
Winter mnths are best for camping in Florida less bugs all around
There wasn't when we were there about a month ago. They have been bad after dark at other places we have been at dusk kayaking. We always keep bug repellents in out kayaking bag just in case.
