I used to own a tropical fish store 35 years ago. Every store will have that problem. Especially if you are purchasing live plants.

Snails are a common problem no matter where you shop. There's a ton of videos on Youtube from Aquarists that offer suggestions for getting rid of them. My favorite suggestion is to buy a loach, i like clown or YoYo loaches, but it depends what other fish you have, so that they all get along. Those loaches will eat up any snail they find in no time. Good luck.

Live plants are awesome!! If you happen to have a strong dislike for them (as i do), an Angel fish, Loache, or a variety of other fish can/will keep an infestation of snails at bay. Don't forget to vacumn your gravel, and hold back a bit on the food. Snails love it when you overfeed the livestock. * there's always the jar submerged with some lettuce in it trick. Good luck!!

I got a goldfish and it took care of the snail problem from my live plant purchase.

I believe there are loaches that eat snails....but the snail struggle is real!
