The muni regs lack logical common sense. I tool in an old refrigerator to the Eagle River station. I transported it in in a 4 foot by 8 foot trailer with 3 foot high sides. It was safely driven to the Eagle River station to be turned in. When I arrived I was told that it needed to be covered by a tarp to be "properly secured". They would not allow me to drop it off at the appliance drop-off location. I had to turn around and drive back to town and buy a tarp and rope and cover the refrigerator and then drive back to the landfill to drop it off. This is lunacy on display. If there was any risk....the risk would have been increased by driving back to get a tarp. This logic comes from our assembly people. There would have been ZERO risk to the public for the refrigerator to be dropped off without a tarp covering it. What would make sense is for the reg to simply state that any load should be safely secured to keep it in your vehicle.

Wish I had known about this place sooner! The system they have going is pretty awesome. And it's priced very reasonably. 10/10!👌

I don't think styrofoam is recyclable. So, I think it shouldn't be recycled.

Yes, they are operating normal hours. Comercial side is open 6:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. 8:00am to 5:00pm Saturdays. Residential side is open 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Saturday. CTS Residencial Hazardous Waste facility is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Now that household hazardous is closed, what do I do with stuff like oil or brake fluid?
